My name is Siarhei Besarab, and I am a Belarusian chemist, inventor, and science journalist. In 2019, I founded LAB-66—an independent science communication project. It is now the largest Belarusian popular science channel on Telegram (over 19,000 readers).

My mission is to make complex scientific knowledge accessible and, most importantly, practical. In my work, I focus on topics that I consider critically important:

• Chemistry: Explaining complex concepts and their real-world applications.
• Civil Defense: Creating practical guides on personal safety and first aid.
• Radiological Safety: Analyzing risks related to nuclear energy and nuclear/radiological weapons, providing uncensored information to the public.

Why am I asking for support?

Due to my active civic stance and criticism of state policy, I was persecuted: I was fired from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and in 2023, I was forced to leave my country. Despite being in exile, I continue my educational work from within the European Union, as I believe it is vital for Belarusian society.
